Faith Fellowship's Men's Ministry
"Reaching, teaching, and releasing men to grow to their full potential in Christ!"
Our Situation:
We live in a culture where men grope to understand what it means to be a man, both in and outside the church. Many men perceive the church telling them that God has put them on this earth to be a "good boy" and if they try real hard they might become a "real nice guy." That's what many believe a Christian man should be . . . a "real nice guy" - "a man who doesn't smoke, drink or chew and doesn't date girls who do."
But let's face it, as a boy none of us men ever dreamed about being a nice guy. We dreamed about being strong men. We dreamed about being men who fought and experienced victory; who competed and won; or who came to the rescue and saved the day. Well, those were the dreams of our youth. The reality is that we work, marry, raise our families, and, most importantly, need to establish a personal relationship with the author of life, Jesus Christ."
Our Mission:
To reach, teach, and release men to grow to their full potential in Christ.
Our Beliefs:
We believe Jesus was a real man – strong, brave, compassionate and able. He knew what it was like to live under the perception that godly men are supposed to be really "good boys," "nice guys.' That's why one of the harshest accusation against him came from the religious establishment who couldn't believe he could eat and have friendships with "such scum" (Mark 2:16 NLT). But he bravely took on the preconceived ideas of what God required of men and left a model for real manhood. As Christ-like men we reach out for the ideal he left us. We learn how to walk on this planet like Christ walked. We encourage each other to use our full potential in the race God has marked out before us - a race that is to be run by real authentic Christian men.
Our Assets:
· The fact that God created us male in his image. Gen. 1:27
