From Luke 6:17:  "Jesus went down with them and stood on a level place." Thinking of that word "level", let's ask a question: "Are you being level with me?" It's an idiom that probably comes from a mason's level or square and it can mean:  "Are you being honest or real with me?", "Are you on the up and up with me?", or "Are you being serious?"

I want you to ask this question of Jesus, because here in this message on this level place, Jesus says some things that are hard to swallow -- that can be frustrating. You may have a hard time understanding and believing what Jesus said. So, ask that question: "Are you being level with me, Jesus?"
